The Ulterior Motives

Readers, as you know my religion is Islam and just like other religions, I believe that there is a higher power that controls our life. Many of my observation are based on religion-practiced and rational-proof-based combined. Mostly, I believe things which is backed-up with evidence.
Lately, Islam’s name has been deteriorated by some extremist faction that allegedly terrorizing in the west part of the world. Eventhough I don’t see any evidence that the USA pointing to the right faction that terrorizes the world, I won’t deny that there are some fundamentalists who wants to create war against other religions.
Eventhough in my religion, every people who worship Allah is brother, I won’t acknowledge terror-spreading people as my brothers. I condemn them for what they have done. Their action has lead nothing but suffering to both sides as to create malevolent cycle of vengeance.
I begin to wonder, why do this people acted this way? I thought our messenger, Muhammad (Peace bring upon him), has lead us to be a peaceful people. Did you know what did Muhammad do when he was spitted by a man who hates him? Muhammad comes to his house when he is sick and wishes that the man become well.
What did Muhammad do when Jibril asked him whether the angel shall put the infidel to death by destructing the earth which they stood upon? Muhammad refused by saying if they won’t obey Allah, let their children given a chance to obey Allah. If their children won’t obey to Allah, let their grandchildren given a chance.
Most importantly, what did our God, Allah, commands Muhammad about the infidel? Allah commands him to repect them and let them do their religion, while we do ours. These examples should be more than enough that Islam is a religion of peace.
However, I won’t deny that Islam permits killing the infidel. But then again, our mighty God has spoken to do that only when you are threaten for your life and He forbids the killing of unarmed civilian,  such as women and children. If the 9/11 incident was cause by Islamist extremists, than I assured you, they are not obeying the God commands as they sacrifices the soul of innocent people just for their narrow-minded principals. I’m sure Allah also condemned their action.
Many wars has tore up upon the history of Islam. In the name of the mighty God, they tried to free the slavery, bring justice to the earth, and so on. However, Muhammad always prioritize to be diplomatic and only choose war as his final option for self-defense. If you don’t believe me, you can try to read your history book about who started the war on Crusade War, The Battle to Retrieve Mecca, and other wars that he fought at that time.
In conclusion, there is no such thing as holy war. Not even in the islamic scripture has mention that a war is holy, eventhough it involved the name of Allah. Muhammad always condemns war and Allah never encourage His follower to start a war in His name.

For those who live in Kentucky, USA you must have already know that there is a museum which support creationism. This 20 million-worth project has left a question which is "does it worth it?"

Well, for first, this museum adopts the idea of the Bible, mostly from the Genesis part. The creator believes that the world is created in six days. In the museum, there is a display that humans co-existed together with dinosaurs, since it’s been said in the Bible that in the sixth day, God creates humans and animals. I’m getting an image of the flintstone family when I saw this museum, since the humans play together with the dinosaurs, as though they were pets.

Moreover, they claim that the fossilize dinosaurs were aged 6000 years,which is against the modern science discoveries. Another controversial statement also comes when they claim that dinosaurs were also included in the Noah’s Ark. Let me get this straight, Noah included male and female T-Rex despite their carnivorous eating-habit? Wouldn’t they ate the other animals?

This creationist museum sends a message that the content of the bible is also a product of fact hard-proof science, despite the facts that are against them. Eventhough I believe in religion, interpreting the bible literally have its limits. You don’t put something from the bible and claim it as true before you have a scientific proof to back it up. Think about what the children might act if they believe in this museum. In fact, this is a petty attempt to lie to children, as petty as you tell your children that Santa Claus do exist.

There is nothing wrong about giving an opinion. But to treat it as a science-based, first you have to follow the rule of giving a theory. A theory that is debatable in a science seminar should have a scientific backup and most importantly, an evidence. These creationist museum literally interprets a bible, decided that it’s a fact without conducting long research.

Once you have the evidence, then by all means, please build your lovely museum. If not, then this museum is nothing more than a hollywood studio.

Hello Readers. This time I would like to review my perspective about Scientology. For those who don’t know what Scientology is, I will give you a brief description. Scientology is a religion that was founded by L.Ron Hubbard, a science-fiction writer, in 1960s. The goal in becoming a Scientologist is to let yourself be free from spiritual distraction such as ideology, psychiatry, and other thing that might distract your concentration. Thus, giving yourself a total freedom.

Scientologist believe that we were born in various engrams. Engram is a definition of a psychic scar. If you believe in Islam, Jesus Christ, and other idea, you are basically have a psychic scar. To release those psychic scar you have to pass 8 levels which will grant you the state of clear. It’s been said that once you achieved clear, you are able to live immortal, talk to animals, move inanimate object without touching it, and leave your body at will.

The leader of the church of Scientology now is David MsCavige. It can’t be denied that there are many controversial cases surrounding the church of Scientology. The death Lisa McPherson, a Scientologist and an Artist, was allegedly because of the act of the church of Scientology. They refused to treat Lisa McPherson to a nearby hospital, but took the farthest hospital. When Lisa McPherson arrived at the hospital, she was already passed away and many cockroach’s bites were there on her body.

Another church of Scientology’s controversial case are the Operation Freakout and Operation Snow White. In operation freakout, the church of Scientology planned to use Paulette Cooper’s name to issue a bomb threat to the US government. The church of Scientology planned to get revenge from her, after Paulette Cooper released  her book titled "The Scandal of Scientology". In the end, Paulette Cooper was found not guilty, but the charge against her has left her broke and depressed frequently.

In Operation snow white, the church of scientology launched a series of infiltration and thefts to government agency to find out information which organization that are hostile against the church of Scientology. The goal of the operation snow white is to purge every unfavorable records against the church of Scientology.

Why they do all of this? Well, Scientology adopted a rule that is called "Fair Game". This rule commands every parishioners to intimidate those who are hostile against Scientology. In L.Ron Hubbard’s comment "If we can’t find what their crimes are, manufacture them" shows that Scientologists will execute every option to shut those who are against them.

Moreover, Scientology urges their followers to disconnect every relation to their families, friends, and other acquaintances which are not a Scientology. This has let many families ruined and suffered.

People, we need to realize these threat immediately and claim that Scientology practice is not suitable to our community. Say no to Scientology and don’t let them corrupt our mind.

Beverage lovers, are you a coffee fan? Moccachino, black coffee, arabica, expresso, and other antic coffee out there you ever tasted? Well, have you ever tasted "Coffee Luwak"?

This coffee was orginated from Indonesia and harvested from the feces of a domesticated Indonesian jungle cat, namely a "Luwak". The deal is that the native people will take the Luwak for a walk while the Luwak will eat anything he encounters. Mice, banana, coffee bean, you named it. After a nice meal, then this cute creature will take a dung. Then the native people take this dung and sundry it until it’s dry enough. After that, comes the selection part. The natives separate the content of the dried-feces from the crap one.

After the good part has been selected, then the feces will be combined with berry, mash it up together and brew it up with hot water. There you have it, coffee Luwak. Many says that coffee Luwak has a strong fragrance than the other coffee that exist. Moreover, this coffee is sold for about 100 dollars per cup in a London cafe and 500 dollars per kilogram. Talking about eliteness.

So beverage fans, if you claim that you are a beverage maniac you have to taste The Coffee Luwak for your experience. Truth be said, I haven’t try it yet, but if anybody has a leftover, my mouth is wide-opened.

I post this blog because lots of my Christian and Catholic friends ask me about this. They asked me whether in Islam belief, it is permitted to kill the Non-believers or not. I supposed they asked me that question regarding the incidents that involves Islam faction in it.

Well, to clarify things, let me answer: "NO!". Islam doesn’t say that killing the Non-believer is permitted. You can refer that in The Koran, surah Al-Kafiruun, or as one say "The Non-Believers". It is clearly said in the last sentenc,e "For your religion let yourself believe it, while I’ll believe my own religion". This is clearly the message that Islam promotes peace between humans. Islam allows anybody to choose their own belief without threatening that they will get killed.

I hoped that answered the question, I myself is not a good disciple of Allah, but I do believe that Islam won’t do such action just because they are Non-believers. To my fellow friends, you can add some comments to support this article. May peace be blessed upon the Earth, Amin.

I just realized after so many years have passed that English is the worst language that humans ever created in term of logical thought. The reason is in the question sentence sturcture of an English language. Here is an example:

Q : Are you not tired?

This question in terms of a machine language is more like conditional statement in a flowchart. Its meaning is that the questioner wants to ratify if the target is "not tired?". If the target is tired, then it will notify the questioner as false, otherwise it will respond a true.

However, English defies this logic thought for some reasons. In English, the question "not tired?" is answered reversely. If the target feels tired, he will respond "Yes, I’m tired", which in the same sense he’s trying to say "True, the statement you mentioned was false". This contradicts the answer he utters. Vice versa, if the target feels not tired, he will naturally respond "No, I’m not tired" which also contradicts his answer; "False, the statment you mentioned was true". 

I have no idea why English has this illogical rule coming along. However, without disrespecting English, I speculate that English was created for simple-minded people. Illogically, unlike Bahasa Indonesia and Japanese which is more sensible in logical thought, English is the most popular language that humans ever communicate with each other. Ironic, isn’t it?

How y’all doing folks? I hope I’m not too long in updating my blog, it’s just that recently I’m tangled up with my project. Enough said, I write this blog after I watched Spiderman 3 (Wait…. I’m not giving any spoiler), which is another masterpiece among many blockbuster movies.

So, what is it with Spidey 3 this time? Well, the main theme about this movie is about Pete’s relationship with MJ which I feel most reflected in our real life’s relationship. From my manly perspective, I think that a typical relationship, a man sees his girlfriend as a single perfect creature.

In this first stage of relationship, a typical man is at his highest possessitivity. He always want to be with his girlfriend, feels jealous when his girlfriend is with other guys even if they are her friends. But, a typical man will not confront his girl yet because he is madly in love with her. Girls, if you feel that a man is acting weird in front of you (like acting cool, but looking a real geek), cheers! that guy probably falls in love with you. Another common symptom of early relationship is that a man will call you as often as possible just to say ‘How you’re doing?’ or ‘Hi? What’s up?’. They also will pick you up at school, drive you to the mall, carry your shopping bag, or cleaning your dog to give good impression to you. I think it’s a nature of a man to protect woman that makes the man willingly to do anything for a girl.

After 2-3 months, a man will soon realize that his girlfriend is not a single perfect creature anymore. He will feel that text messaging has become shorter than ever, phone call duration has shorten, and voice tone is a big matter for him (You know, when a man called his girl. His girl will naturally say ‘Yeah?’ or ‘Hello?’ rather than ‘Yes Darling?’ that’s when it becomes a problem). In this stage, man can become like a baby, wanting to be served all the time. Girls, in their head, they want more than ever. Now, this is what becomes really ugly. If you fulfilled his desire, he will crave for more such as if you normally text message him 3 times a day with 150 characters, he will demand you to text message him 6 times a day with 300 characters. On the other hand, failing to fulfill his desire will cause to the third typical stage of relationship which I will explain next.

The third typical stage relationship comes around after 5-6 months. It’s get to the point that a man feels bored with his girl. Ever heard of saying ‘Neighbour’s grass a lot greener than ours’? It’s a fact girls, a man on this stage sometime gets a little cockier and trying to reach for another girl. Maybe I’m a little bit bias, but the reason of a man conducting this action might be for several reason such as:

1. Prestige, to show that he still a charismatic idiot.
2. Adventure, men are natural adventurer. Likes new things.
3. Desire fulfillment, seeking another girl to fulfill his desires that can’t be fulfilled by his girl. (This is the most typical reason)

Moreover, if he fell into this trap than the final stage of typical relationship has been fulfilled which is called ‘The break up’.

Now, I know that you’re thinking that ‘Did God make mistake in creating Man?’. Hehe, even I sometimes question my stupidity. So, on the behalf of men race I beg for your forgiveness for our stupidity that might hurt your feeling. It’s not your fault actually, it’s just that a man sometimes can’t understand a woman’s heart. You know, like when she says that no means yes, and yes means no. Or like she doesn’t want to see us for a while.

Our rasional mind can’t accept that easily and that’s when jealousy came. I define woman’s heart is like a pandora box, you won’t know until you open it. And when you open it, it will not be a pretty sight. Well, in the end, for bitter or worst, I wish you girls that have boyfriends have a nice relationship. And boys who read this, please be patient with your girl, I know it’s tough, but be a man dude, do the right thing.*Taking my guitar, sit by the window, and start singing ‘Endless Love’*

Most of these titles are religious sinetron type where the most typical story is about a bad guy, messing up with other people, got ill with an uninidentified disease (usually skin disease so we disgust him more), and die afterwards. Or a good guy, bullied by other people, raise his hands to the sky asking "Why the fuck do you torture me, God?", and then the bad people become good because of the good guy’s nature will.

Still not enough? Well, now we got TV shows which are adopted from other countries. Fear Factor, Super Deal, Famili 100, and much more.

Nowadays, Indonesian horror movie adopted a Japanese girl onryo (Japanese term for vengeful ghost). Usually it has long black hair with white long dress. But what the hell, America also copied ghost stories from Japan recently.

However, I’m not saying that all Indonesian media are plagiating. There are also some media that try their best to present an orginal masterpiece such as Nagabonar Jadi 2 or Soe Hok Gie. Let’s give a round applause for the genius producers and directors who can make this happen. *Clap**Clap**Clap*

Last week, I just watched an Asian Horror movie. The title was The Day. It was a pretty terrifying movie so make sure you have prepared for a good scare. The film pattern was pretty much the same as Ju-On and The Ring. They use the same ol’ long-haired onryo (japanese term for vengeful ghost).

Anyway, after the I watched the film I begin to think that actually there are things to avoid being dead by the vengeful ghost a.k.a long-haired onryo. Here are what came up in my mind:

1. If there’s a rumor about a haunted house around your neighbourhood that has taken countless life, please don’t tempted to go inside the house. It’s a really simple logic actually, Go in you die or NOT Go in you do NOT die.
2. Now, what if you accidently go to that freakin’ house? Okay, don’t panic. Stay calm and look for the freakin’ door. If the ghost tease you by locking the door up, stay calm and always look behind you. That’s the spot where they like to give you a surprise. If you encounter a ghost, it’s a good idea not to run. Why? because if you run, the ghost will be behind you. Remember what I say about ghost’s favorite surprise spot? Now, if you just can manage the ghost to be in front of you, there’s no chance the ghost will vanish and reappear on your back, because it seems that ghost only disappear when you are not looking at them.
3. Okay, the ghost is in front of you now, what if that freakin’ thing crawls toward you? Now, the classy horror movies that I’ve been watched over a decade has shown that people tremble with fear and cannot move when the ghost tried to approach them to say hi. Well, let me say this, I’ve watched over a dosen of horror movies and most ghost walk slower than my grandma. Still can’t get it? You just have to move backward every time she approaches you.
4. This is the dumbest idea that people can think, splitting up. They propose the idea like "It’s dangerous, you wait here" or "Let’s split up so we can find it faster". Now, if you are by yourself, then who will watch over your back? It’s easier for the ghost to kill you when you are alone than when you are with you are with your friends. Moreover, you can grouply punch the ghost in the face with your friends when she appears.

That’s the tips how to avoid being dead by a vengeful ghost from me. Hope you safe on your way home guys
